Once again a machine is sent back in time to kill John Conner (Nick Stahl), the leader of the resistance to the machines years ahead of his time. This time around it is more serious than ever. A more advanced version of the T-101 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) called the T - X (Kristina Loken) is after Conner and it seems like nothing can stop it. Or at least that is what it is made to look like in Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Terminator, comes in for a little action one last time to protect John Conner from the time traveling machines sent out to erase his presence in the future. This is done with the help of a past character who predicted the future to aid the Terminator in his program to protect John Conner and the human race from extinction.
The film is not total chaos and mayhem. The Terminator brings in a little humor with his witty remarks and allusions to past Terminator films. There is also the element of surprise sewn into the films story line. What did you expect? A boring sequel following the predictions made by everybody who saw part one and two? WRONG! You will see what I mean when you go see the film.
There are a few shocking visual surprises you will see from time to time. They are scattered throughout the film so watch for them. Some are very obvious while others require you to see the previous films to understand them. You never know what Arnold is going to do next. Hey maybe Playgirl Magazine will give him a buzz.
