Wes Craven's Dracula 2000 is actually a unique and interesting take on the Dracula lore, adding modern technology to it and coming up with a suspenseful and exciting film.
The difference with this one is that it takes place in 2000 in England. An old man with a Romanian accent, Abraham Van Helsing (Christopher Plummer) is the curator/owner of an antique museum. He also injects the blood from leeches into his veins. He also keeps something locked up in a high security vault. Well, professional thieves decide to break in and steal that something, except it is not jewels or rare painting, it is an old coffin. You can bet things get fun when they finally open it - on an airplane! Of course there is a search to find someone before Dracula does, and sexy vampires of course!
This movie is not really that great, but if you like Dracula or scary movies, you wont want to miss this one, it contains some good suspense and thrills with a twist on the story of Dracula. A good scary rental if you don't want to see it in the movie theater.
