I have seen every one of these performances and these are all worthwhile nominations.
Who SHOULD WIN: Judi Dench - Iris. It really is almost a tie between Berry, Kidman, and Dench for this role in my opinion, but Dame Judi really did excel just a tad above the rest in her performance of Iris Murdoch.
Who WILL Win: Sissy Spacek - In the Bedroom. Halle Berry's winning the SAG was a fluke because of the fact that the SAGs had Jenniofer Connelly as a Best Actor instead of Supporting and that split the votes up more. If Connelly had been in the Supporting Actress category, Spacek would have taken this one as she did the Golden Globe and all the critics awards. If the indicators are correct, Spacek will win this one. However, there is a slight chance that independent minded voters will split their votes between Berry and Spacek and Nicole Kidman has a small chance of pulling a surprise win here by gathering a majority of votes due to split votes over the other strong performances.
